(More customer reviews)Getting my ZWave system to recognize the door sensor was a little difficult. My first unit I sent back because it did not add to my system. The second unit displayed the same symptoms but in desperation, I repetitively pressed the bind button and... guess what? It did!
I had to custom fit the unit into my existing door molding but NOW.... It works and looks ok. Not as easy as first thought, but what is?
I intend to buy more now knowing the secrets I passed on to you.

Additional Sensors Mean Added Security The HomeRemote Door/Window Sensor lets you monitor doors and windows in your house through the HomeRemote Web interface or via your cell phone. You can use the sensor to monitor any door or window in your home, including garage doors and refrigerators.
With it you can set certain lights to turn on and off when doors or windows are opened, frightening and exposing potential intruders. You can also program it to send you a text message and email alert when it detects activity at your house.
The sensor's long battery life (3 AAA batteries are included) helps ensure your home stays protected while letting you place it anywhere without blocking an outlet or worrying about a power cord.
