(More customer reviews)My existing wireless alarm system flagged my smoke alarm as having a low battery. I measured the battery voltage and that wasn't the case. What it told me was that something was wrong but changing the battery wasn't likely to fix it. The unit was 3 years old which is old age for a smoke alarm. I went for the replacement without a second thought. My experience has been that this is a reliable device.
