(More customer reviews)This unit covers the unused front entry of our home. It is attached about 8 ft up from ground level. Works. The Voice Alert system has been a good purchase. Of course, we turn off the base unit when we're not home. At night, the unit is meant to report animal intrusions....mostly dogs. The bunnies don't seem to care and have regular dance parties outside, setting off the alarm. That's a good thing.
The bottom line is that this system works.
I think it is a little ridiculous to review just the sensor, but if you're in this online neighborhood you haven't bought the main alarm unit yet. Do it. It's a well thought out system and WILL keep you from being surprised when you're in your skivvies.
One last note: My other sensor is about 100 ft from the base and communicates well through several walls- including metal siding.
