(More customer reviews)I purchased a Genie screw garage door opener about 5-7 years ago and had to replace it this last weekend. The manufactured date is stamped on the side of the unit and although it was built within the past 8 years they will not honor their 15 year warranty without a receipt. I didn't think it would go bad within the 15 years and didn't keep the receipt. I will purchase a competitor next time.
