(More customer reviews)The set up of the DVR is easy enough. Cameras take some time to run cables and mount, but also easy enough. Instruction manual is not the best... took me a while to figure out motion sensor recording. Here is what you need to do: Set the motion sensor with the red boxes over everything you want recorded. Then go to recording and do a timed schedule setup. You have to make sure the check is on alarm and then block in all the days and times so that it will record for all of those times when the (alarm) motion sensor is set off. I tried to set up the netviewer myself so I could see it over the internet. I was trying to guess what name to give the host, the username, etc. You have to call tech support to get them to help you set this up. This can be a little frustrating. I was on hold for half an hour, finally got to talk with someone, who said they were setting up an appt for me that was two days away and that someone would call between 2-5 pm. I took off work early to be home and then they didn't call until 10 til 5, I was getting worried. BUT, when they did call- the guy was wonderful and set everything right up. Here's a tip- have all the windows closed on your computer, be connected to the internet and be ready to write down information. The tech immediately took over my computer remotely, worked on my computer to get me set up, had me go to the dvr, told me what to put in where there, he worked on the computer more and that was it. Now it works great! All in all, this is a wonderful security system and does everything we need it to do. A little patience is needed to get the Internet access set up, but they take care of all of that for you if you can just give them a few days to call you back and set it up.
