(More customer reviews)I had initially looked at the Skylink garage door indicator, but poor reviews made me look a little harder for another alternative. The LiftMaster is it. Instead of a magnetic push switch which is used on the Skylink, the LiftMaster uses a gravity switch to indicate the door is open or shut. Basically, when the sensor goes from vertical to horizontal, it sends a signal to the receiver to illuminate a red blinking light. We placed the receiver (AC powered) in our bedroom and it receives the door signals (CR2032 battery each) very well (about 200 feet through two walls). The receiver will not be able to differentiate between two different doors, but all I really need to know is if either is open...I could care less which one. The receiver comes with one transmitter and is significantly less expensive than it's Skylink competitor. Additional receivers are also significantly less expensive. If you have ever left your garage door open all night and woke up to missing bicycles or mowers, then this is the product for you. My kids are always telling me the status of our garage doors now. This is a great product.
