Consumer Reports rates this phone very highly (it is either a "best buy" or very high in the rank list). It uses a frequency that does not interfere with cell phones or other in house electronics. The base charges contains an answering machine. Setup is intuitive. The actual phones (2) are light and slim. There is not a lot of plastic to hold on to which took some getting used to. Voice quality is good. Caller ID is included and the phone has a nice menu system for storing numbers. There is also a pager feature that lets you call the other phone within the house...which is nice for multi-story homes. Overall, good phone and I have no complaints after about 2 months of ownership.
