(More customer reviews)Unforunately, some of these sensors manufactured will throw false alarms constantly. I disregarded these reports hoping I'd get a good one, and I did not. After getting daily false alarms after installing this I took it off the window and placed it in an area I knew would not be disturbed and it still went off daily, even after trying disabling the reed switch and tuning the sensitivity down as low as the device will allow.
I have other versions of these sensors that work OK--but from what I read as many as 1 in 2 of these will shoot off false alarms left and right. Thus, I'd recommend you steer clear of these unless you get them locally and can easily return them when you get duds.
